All Roads Lead by [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone I'm beginning to think trinity can't write a story a story I won't like. This is one of the best McKay/Cadman fics I've ever read, in fact I'd love to read more stories like this. It's funny, kind of sad in parts, horrifying in others, and I loved how the two characters are drawn together. :)

Walking the Line by [livejournal.com profile] spacebabe I loved Rodney's voice in this story and the sense of impending doom and how close they all were...Rodney's reactions were just spot on.

Kiss Me, I'm An Earthling! by [livejournal.com profile] etben Well there's a lot of kissing. :)

Supernatural Recs

What I Keep and What I Carry by [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster I loved this look into a possible future for both Sam and Dean.

Living in Limbo by [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess this is another alternative look at a possible future. I loved the way she writes the story and how you slowly find out what happens.

This One Time, In A Michelle Pfeiffer Movie
... And The Horse You Rode In On set in same universe as above story
Sew Buttons on Ice Cream (See If They Stick) by [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess set in same universe as above story. omg this is one of the hottest genderbending fics I've read. I loved the plot, the sex, the teasing, the dialgoue, the concept for what happened to Sam and Dean...um basically everything about this story. I'm really hoping the author decides to write a what happens next fic because I'd love to see how the guys react when they are back to normal again.

Family Comes First by [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon Another family fic that worked for me. :)

Peaks and Valleys by [livejournal.com profile] lyra_wing I just liked the way this was written and how the author captured Sam and Dean's voices. I think I like the brothers fighting way too much, it really shouldn't be that sexy.

Harry Potter vid rec

the boy was a puppet by [livejournal.com profile] wistful_fever I normally don't watch HP vids, but this one was recced all over the place so I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. The song is haunting and very fitting for the mood of the clips. I loved the editing, the way the colors changed, and the tone of the video was sad and kind of dark but with some hope. all around wonderful video.

What I'm reading

For the past week I've been re-reading the Heralds of Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey. I'll admit at this point I'm still kind of getting over all the stuff my mom said...it seems like every time I visit home it takes me awhile to recover my interest in writing again. I'd like to say that I don't let other people's opinions influence me to the point where I have a hard time writing. So re-reading this series is really helping. It's as good as I remembered, though I'm still in the early part of the series. I'm at By the Sword.

I'm looking forward to this upcoming weekend, have plans to visit my grandparents in San Antonio and then head on up to my brother's place to visit him. I think it'll do a lot of good to see my grandmother and brother. For some reason when they try to help and give advice I leave with a sense of resolve to make some changes but don't feel bad about myself. I guess it also helps that they never make fun of my interests (okay my brother does sometimes but he likes that I write and encourages me, and it's good natured teasing)

um anyway, tomorrow night onwards I'll be awol.
