Battlestar Galactica
Feb. 18th, 2006 03:41 amDoes anyone have next week's teaser????
I have a question, was I the only one that felt like they missed an episode? I've watched all the episodes but I saw some scenes in the opening -catch the audience up with what's going on bit- that I didn't recognize....but I guess it's good they did that. I mean in this show so much happens I wouldn't be surprised if I did forget a plot point.
Anyway, on with the my mini-review. Basically, I loved this episode. I loved that Starbuck was being herself, and while I hated how the crew reacted to her presence on the ship, I thought it was consistent with how the Pegasus presented itself in earlier episodes.
I absolutely loved the interactions between Starbuck/Apollo, each scene with them together was brilliant (okay I'm easy to please) the hug at the end was perfect. :)
I can always watch a space battle or two. Gaius, I love him when he's not too crazy and being really smart. Intelligence really is sexy. :)
I'm okay with the choice the president made on the abortion issue (which is odd for me because I'm strongly pro-choice) however....with less than 50,000 people left to repopulate the human race....they need babies. I figured what they should do for people who don't want the kid is find another family willing to take care of the baby. IN such a small enclosed population it shouldn't be that hard to find people willing to take a child. (especially when there are so few of them left) Basically, in their situation I agree with the president.
In America 2006 I think abortion is okay. It's not like the world is close to running out of people. If anything we have too many people to maintain our current standard of living.
I know other people in the scifi.com board complained about a lot of other stuff but this episode worked for me on all levels and I'm really loving this show.
