I finished the CPO and concealed handgun licencing class. Hurray! it was four days of sitting in a classroom from 8am till 530 learning about weapons, how to use them, when not to use them, and etc...So far the popular opinion is that Glocks are the best semi-automatic, however they run easily to 500 dollars. :(

I got to shot one at the firing range to pass the test and I either am really good at aiming or it's just hard to miss your target with a Glock. Anyway, I'm going to see if my dad makes good on his promise when I was 14 to help me get a weapon when I decide I need one.

Now keep in mind I'm 24 going to be 25 in Febuary and I've never had to use a gun to protect my life or health, chances are I'm still not going to need a weapon, however it's one of those things were I'd feel like a damned fool if I had the opportunity to get one and I passed it up and then someday when I really needed one, I didn't have a gun.

the idea of carrying a weapon in public does make me nervous even after learning everything there is to know about gun safety...I still don't think it's that safe. I'd hate accidently shot anyone, most of all myself.

However, with my job as a security officer once my license comes back from the state I'll be carrying a weapon at work, so I had to learn everything I could.

Anyway, for the most part those four days of classes were mind-numbingly boring. Because I didn't just learn about weapons, handcuffs, pepper spray, ammunition, and the Texas Penal Code I also got to hear everyone else's life stories as everyone tried talking to kill more time.

Oh I did get to see National Treasure, it was a good movie. I liked Sean Bean, was I the only one thinking there could have been some slashy moments??? :)
