Date: 2004-02-10 03:12 am (UTC)Wasn't I supposed to ask you when you got home this summer who it was that wrote that story about the character Pi. Who could shift his gender accordingly to whom he was with and what they desired??? Just thought of that when you mentioned a book... !!! ;)

Date: 2004-02-10 12:12 pm (UTC)Definately if yiou are going to read Robin Hobb's books start with the first trilogy and work your way through the second and then the third. Though the second trilogy is about a whole new set of characters some of what happens in that trilogy affects the last trilogy she wrote. So I think the just builds on itself. I don't think I've read a series that satisfied me this much. Though there are some authors who are ranked right up there with Robin Hobb. :)
