Okay I'm back home from vacation. :) I had a wonderful time in Belgium and during my brief stay in England. However, it's now 9pm which feels like 4am Belgium time. Also, I think I got hit with food poisoning on the return trip. (I'm never eating airport food or airplane food again!) So I was pretty sick most of the way back, the reason I'm 99.5% sure it's food poisoning is because my husband who ate a little less than me is sick as well with pretty much all the same symptoms except instead of puking his guts out it looks like his stomach/intestines swelled instead. :( I'm very concerned about this and I'm not sure if it's enough cause to take him to the emergency room or not. But he's sleeping now...and he says this has happned before eating american food and it'll go away eventually....

I was never so happy to see our apartment. My husband and I were pretty much exhuasted and barely able to take care of the necessities.

Onto more happier topics, while I was gone I sometimes did have internet access and was able to read actually quite a bit of fan fiction because of my sony reader and I took my laptop with me (i just didn't have regular access to the net)...I planned to post my accumlated recs throughout the week or maybe in two large posts...But anyway, I spent most of my vacation actually away from the computer and it was kind of weird. I missed a lot of my friends that I do keep in contact with over LJ or IM but at the same time it was nice to take a break from computers. I noticed a few things went down while I was gone FanLib, and now something else...I'll have to figure it out this weekend.

I'm going to finish unpacking tomorrow evening.

It's good to be home. (I gotta say getting sick while traveling in public completely and utterly sucks, there was this 2 year old (with his mom) waiting in the lobby at the Newark Internation Airport and his mom refused to let him play with the stroller anymore so he fell to the ground crying his little heart out, rolling on the carpet, and after I finished laughing weakly because it was funny and kind of cute, I realized I totally wanted to join him there!!!)

People surprise me from time to time, I was stuck in this lobby watching our bags, while my husband went to grab something to eat and some water for me, and well I got sick again (thank goodness I had the foresight to take those airsick bags from the plane with me just in case) and well this nice lady came up a little later while I was sitting on my chair guarding our crap shivering in misery and offered me cold paper towels and a cup of water because she felt bad for eating nearby and figured it probably didn't help my stomach much. Um anyway for some reason that stuck in my head because here I was feeling kind of embarrassed because I'd just thrown up in front of well lots of people because it was nearing boarding time and a person I didn't know did something kind for me. Luckily, the rest of the time I was sick was on the airplane from Brussels to Newark and i was able to make it to the bathroom in time.
