I don't have the book pre-ordered. I was hoping to buy an electronic copy but found out recently that none will be released to the Sony Connect store so basically I'm not sure when I'll be able to read the book.

This is just a friendly reminder that not everyone is going to be reading the newest HP book the night it's released so please NO SPOILERS!!!

I'm not kidding about this please use cut tags. I really do want to go into the newest book without knowing the ending already. So far my flist has been great about cut tags but I just wanted it to be clear that I'm avoiding spoilers like the plague and I probably won't get the book as fast as everyone else so I'll truly appreciate it if people keep this in mind while posting in their LJs. I really don't think this will be a problem because so far everyone I've friended has been wonderful about using cut tags but that's always been for tv shows...

Thanks in advance

p.s. I'll use cut tags when/if I feel like talking about the book in my LJ. I just can't believe the series is almost over.

Hm, I'd definately suggest that, if you happen to be an avid reader of comms, you should perhaps avoid them until you read the book. Make a filter that only has friends and no comms on it or something.
I remember when HBP was released, there was a whole lot of kerfluffle going on because trolls were posting giant, bold, occasionally FLASHING spoilers in impossible to miss fonts in just about every community known to mankind XD
Seriously, I was so good about avoiding spoilers with that book, and then I went and checked my flist thinking "My flist is awesome, and they all use cut-tags, lalala..." not even considering the fact that, while my flist is full of cool, the comm mods aren't always able to keep up with the trolls. Bright, pink, glittery, flashing words the size of my monitor aren't very easy to ignore XD

Rowling has issues, so none of the HP books are available as legal ebooks.

That's the thing, anyone that wants electronic is just going to get a pirate scanned copy a few hours after the paper goes on sale. I'm sure a great many of those people would buy an ecopy if there was one. But instead she's just losing out completely. It's stupid, but that's the reality.
