amalthiaFirst it's friday night, I get home and no one is here...I'm like okay my husband has a life of his own too but 2 hours later I'm waiting and starting to get worried because I can only reach his voice mail and I hadn't talked to him all day and he hadn't told me he was going out the night before, and then he calls me. He was out drinking with the guys. That was at 10:30ish....I waited up thinking he was coming home soon (kind of rewatching the end of season 1 BSG) and it's now 2am and I was getting kind of worried because we have a pretty bad thunderstorm going on right now and in he stumbles stupid drunk. I can't believe he drove like that! He could have killed himself, or worse yet someone else! and then he could have gone to jail!
Just last month someone in HP fandom died after getting stupid drunk and trying to drive themselves home and someone let her! I'm so pissed off now I'm not sure I can even sleep. :(
Maybe it's because I actually saw photos of people who died in car accidents caused by the stupidness of drunk drivers and my mom almost got killed by a drunk driver I don't want my husband to A. go to jail, B. Kill someone and have to live with the consequences or C. Get himself killed! (along with our brand new car!)
He could barely even stumble up the freaking stairs!!!!
I don't get why he doesn't believe me when I tell him if you drive drunk and kill someone other than yourself YOU GO TO JAIL!!!!! There is a lot less tolerance in Texas for people who drive drunk. (He could have killed a family driving home late!)
I don't even know what to do....I could tell him all this information until I'm blue in the face and he'll just go on his merry way. I think at this point I can only hope the next time he does this he gets home safely or if he does get in a car accidents it's only with our car and no one else is injured (though I think you can still get arrested for that...) and if anyone dies it better be him and not someone else. grrrrrr
