Okay most of my friends already know I'm back home in Texas. But for anyone reading my livejournal...i've been gone a month. Visiting my fiancee in Belgium.

So the point of this entry is that I'm home and i wish I was back in Belgium. I've only been here for about 3 or 4 days and the stress is returning.

1st, I need to get a job
2nd, planning my wedding
3rd, my mom wants my help to plan the wedding and it's driving me nuts. I think my problem is that I don't really care about the majority of the details and my mom does. So while I'd spend 1 minute picking out my flowers, she spends 2 hours! And while I pick the cheapest damn things I can find, she wants to find affordable yet tasteful...grrrr

Yesterday, I went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to pick out the stuff for the bridal registry and it really blew. I hate shopping to begin with and a task I assumed would only take me 1 hour to complete took 4 hours with my mother.

Everytime I picked something I liked, like my towel colors, she'd want me to match those with the shower curtains, the assesories for the bathroom sink...and then the rugs for the bathroom...it went on and on. I guess left to my own devices I'd pick completely mismatching stuff just because I liked the colors or the designs.

Okay so back to my problems about finding a job. well I have a functioning brain and limbs, technically my only problem is getting down to San Antonio to start applying.

Honestly, I just need to make a list of the things I need to do, so I feel less overwhelmed.

the best part about coming home is seeing my dad again, so I'm trying to be patient with my mother and spend more time with my dad because I know in a week I need to head on down to San Antonio and look for a real job. Hopefully there are some left.

First order of business is to let my fiancee know he can look at the gift registry online. :)
