Michael Rosenbaum and Justice League

I don't get how I could have watched 4 whole seasons of the Justice League cartoons and am only now figuring out that Michael Rosenbaum plays the Flash!!!! I only found out because my brother pointed out that Nathan Fillian was going to be in the new Justice League: Doom movie so I decided to go see if they have the same actors for Batman and Superman and saw Michael Rosenbaum name!!!

Apparently he was doing the voice acting around the same time they were filming Smallville. I loved Rosenbaum as Lex but I LOVE his take on the Flash.

hee! and see, that is the one voice actor I did know about for the JL cartoons. :D because I was so into MR because of SV :) It fucks with me a little because I'm so conditioned to pair the person with that voice with Clark/Superman. :D Getting used to him as Flash is going to be a small challenge.

Michael Rosenbaum as Flash is how I got into the DCU at all. *shakes fist* Damn you, Rosenbaum!

I've never watched the animated series, but I imagine MR is good. His voice can do lots of fun stuff!

I love Wally West in the JL cartoon. MR brings a lot of character to this guy. :)

I can't wait to see this episode. :) DCU is rather addictive and I love so many of the characters. I'm sort of wishing the last Green Lantern movie covered John Stewart's origin story because he's really interesting and awesome. It's sort of hard to imagine anyone else as the Green Lantern.

I can't recommend the JL series enough, it's so good and all the characters are interesting.

Oh, god, don't get me started on DC's attitude to the Green Lanterns...

Years ago, I was at a party with a bunch of DC editors and writers, and conversation got round to the mooted Jack Black GL movie. Seeing as I'd got into comics recently enough that John Stewart and Kyle Rayner were 'my' GLs, I asked which GL he'd have been playing. There were stunned expressions that I could possibly consider anybody but Hal Jordan to be Green Lantern. Despite the fact that he'd been evil and dead for ten years by that point, and there was no sign (yet) of him coming back to life.

MOVE ON, COMICS. LET THINGS CHANGE. STOP TRYING TO RECREATE THE COMICS OF YOUR CHILDHOOD.

I don't get why DCU won't move forward into the future. They want to appeal to a new generation and yet they keep bring up people who were created 50 years ago! I can live with Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman but I really want to read about their successors.

I was also a bit baffled as to why they had to reboot the Jamie Blue Beetle comics? It was only two years old and I read all the issues in a week. It's not like there were over 700 to catch up on.

I think John Stewart would have had more appeal to all the people who were fans of the Justice League cartoons. (Like me!!!)
