I decided to write down my initial reactions for this episode before I read anyone's LJ. :) Everything besides the OMG what a good episode is behind the cut

I have to say the second half of season 2 is really really good. I loved this episode. I can't believe the writers had me guessing the entire episode.

I really thought Laden? (think that's how his name is spelled) had tricked the SGA team (which he did) but omg I was completely fooled. I thought he was going to shoot Sheppard, it didn't for a second cross my mind that he really did have a Coup planned. I need to find out who wrote this episode. I was kind of reading during the credits and wasn't paying attention at the beginning like I should have been.

this was a completely satisfying episode. I don't care what plot holes other people find watching it, I enjoyed the character interaction, the twisty plot, loved Weir's frustration in the control room when she thought Cowen's men were on their way to kill Sheppard. I really love Sheppard and Weir's conversations at the end of these episodes...Glad I stayed up to watch. :)

I'll probably remember more good stuff as I read through everyone else's reactions.

Did I mention I loved when Sheppard woke up tied to the chair??? I'm weird. OH and the conversation with Lorne in the cell was hilarious. Loved Rodney's confusion when he woke up. I need to write prison fics like this. (though not sure if this counts as a prison story, they were only prisoners for about an hour or less?)

I just saw the episode and completely agree! I really enjoyed it, enjoyed the character interaction, the dialogoue and even the bits of humour involved!

This was an episode I enjoyed - and for once, I was glad there was some sort of "finality" to it!

:XD Now I'm gonna do some squeeing in my LJ!

Totally agree. I loved this episode. Yes, I could pick at things, but I'm not going to. It had everything I wanted for a good episode--good McKay-Sheppard interaction, suspense (thank goodness Lorne isn't dead), some great lines, and a decent plot. I think the only things that could have made me happier would have been an appearance by Zelenka and Koyla in Ladon's place. It's one of my favorite episodes of the season.
