Finally!!!
May. 28th, 2004 01:02 amWe are finished for the night. :( I've been up since 10am this morning cleaning house, we've been doing this for 4 nights btw. the computer room took 6 hours, the dining room 4-5 hours, living room 7 hours, bathrooms (which I did myself - 2 hours), I think I'm actually working more at home than I ever did at work. :(
sigh, I hate standing around waiting for someone else to figure out where the hell they want their stuff to go. Technically my mom could have done everything herself, all we did was take out the garbage and agree "yes that needs to go to Goodwill." for all the hours of work, you'd expect a place to look different. it doesn't. See the problem is our place wasn't really a mess to begin with, my mom decided to use this week to reorganize and decorate for when her sisters and brothers visit this week. If we really just cleaned, we'd have been done 4 days ago. because our house isn't THAT big.
Anyway, tomorrow we have to vacum, sweep, and mop every floor in the house. and I think that should be the end..except for all the laundry that has been piling up for weeks now. OK now before anyone who reads this thinks i'm part of the problem wtih the laundry, get that thought out of your head. I keep my dirty clothes seperate and I wash them myself. Normally I have to wait until mom says she's going shopping or something, rush my clothes inside (once she's gone) and dump everything in colors and whites, and get my clothes washed. I don't have as many clothes as my younger brother, I can't go months without getting my clothes washed. And yet, my mom gets upset when anyone but her uses the washer and drier.
for once I can't wait for my aunts and uncles to arrive, because once they are here we don't have to work anymore.
