Mar. 14th, 2005 04:13 amI'm reading this rather decent Harry Potter fan fic and though the story is good and interesting, I'm highly annoyed by the way it's getting posted. I hate 30 short chapters. I'd almost prefer that the author wait until she finishs at least 50 pages and posts it in 4 or 5 segments. Normally I attribute super short chapters to people who don't know how to write or want to rack up as much feedback as possible, or want to make it damn near impossible for anyone to download their entire story in 1 minute.
Here is the link, it's a good story, but I can tell it's going to take a month or a year before it's finished. She's only posting a few parts at a time and they are short. Basically if you come back in a month there might actually be a story.

Okay for anyone who actually reads this. I'm making a database archive for the Angst Archive. I just finished setting it up, fixing the design, and now all I need to do is figure out how to upload all the stories already archived on the Angst Archive. It'll probably be another month before I'm ready to let it go public. Since I run the archive by myself, I have to do all the work of uploading the stories, and I'm not sure how long that will take.
