Just realized something

I need to get a good job. I want to go to conventions. There is a Stargate convention happening in Canada this weekend. I knew about it a while back but could not afford to go and I kind of feel like I'm missing out on the fun. I even had a cancel a slash convention due to lack of money.

See, I don't think I'm materialistic in the sense that I want a really expensive fancy car to impress a bunch of strangers on the roads. My high expenses are more along the lines of plane tickets and hotel rooms and convention fees. I've been going to anime conventions for about 10 years now, 1 slash convention, and I really want to go to a sci-fi convention of some sort, especially Stargate, because the actors and actress's actually show up for them. I want to go to Escapade next year, if the convention is still running. I had such a great time the last time I went. I would also love to meet the actors in Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis while they are still willing to do conventions. I did get to see Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead series) and he was hilarious and I had a lot of fun listening to his talk. (amazing they got Bruce Campbell to come to an anime convention, but hey I did not complain. I don't know any of the other guests they invite and I'm not really into the artwork or English voice actors.)

Anyway, realizing this gives me more incentive to fix up my resume and apply for decent paying jobs and save up my pennies.
