Okay my husband and I are planning to move to another apartment in April. My husband wants to ask my dad for help with the move (keeping in mind that my dad lives 3 hours away maybe 150miles)....normally I'd be okay with asking my dad for help but after talking to my brother last night I realized dad might agree to help but if my mom changes plans at the last minute, my dad might not show up at all or show up 5 or 6 hours later. Basically, since my mom is back in my dad's life, my dad is not reliable. I point this out to my husband and he's all like "I have faith in him" dude he needs to talk to my brother. He obviouslly still doesn't know my family that well.
Anyway, it looks like I'm going to have to pay for movers out of my own fun money budget because on moving day I don't want to be up at 8am ready to move and the only help we got is probably either not going to show up or arrive sometime after we've done as much as we could together. Basically, I want this move to go quick and with as little pain for me as possible. Last time we moved my whole body ached for a week afterwards! I can barely lift 30 pounds and it's possible we might be getting a 3rd floor apartment.
Yeah I know i'm complaining but really if it only costs 100-200 dollars for moving help, I think it's worth it to avoid injuries and to save time.
