The last three days I've had a cold and well today I woke up feeling pretty miserable so I called in sick because I couldn't stand the thought of another day at work feeling all drugged up on cold medications that did nothing to stop my sneezing, water eyes, or runny nose but left me feeling spaced out and very sleepy.
So anyways to avoid falling asleep while driving I decided to call in sick and slept another 7 hours, which for me is very odd, normally after sleeping at night for 9 hours my back would have woke me up complaining about oversleeping, but now I feel more okay than I have in days. (maybe the extra sleep helped? or I still have nightquil in my system)
Basically, it's weird being at home on a workday. Even though I know I'm sick and had a valid reason to call in I still feel guilty for not going to work anyways.
Part of me is wondering if maybe this isn't really a cold but that I'm suddenly allergic to my cats, except I've been allergic to houston since I got here and normally 1 benedryl does the trick and I never got headaches and congestion like I felt for the last 3 days. That and one of my co-workers was sick with what appears to be the same symptoms I'm now experiencing. And what sometimes kills me is that my husband says i'm a hypochondriac even though I went through like 10 handkerchiefs in 3 days. :( November just hasn't been so great for me healthwise because I got that stomach bug that was going around my entire office, (I'm not joking 3 out of 5 people in my department got it including me) and now I have a cold. I'm not making this stuff up I'm not sure why my husband doesn't believe me when I'm sick. I'm not sick every month, in fact I do fine most months. I haven't had a cold like this in 2 years.
Right now I'm debating between vidding or playing World of Warcraft or just something else I haven't figured out yet. And now that I can breathe again I think one of my kitties smells like the litterbox...
