Was I the only one that liked Jonas Quinn in season 6 of Stargate??? I mean I really liked his character and the actor who played him. It was kind of nice having someone new on the team and he added something different to the team dynamic...I've been watching some season 6 episodes and it struck me that I miss Jonas in Stargate.

No, you are certainly not the only one who liked, even loved Jonas Quinn. He was a wonderful addition whom most fans chose to hate simply because they were mad that Michael Shanks left. My favorite episode is "Prophecy". The good news is that Jonas Quinn lives on in the fabulous Stargate stories written by author Pike or Pike2 as she's sometimes known. You can find her highly intriguing, brilliantly written stories at fanfiction.net.

Thanks so much for the author recommendation. :) I'll look for her fan fics. :) it's just good to know that not everyone hates Quinn, i think it was rather unfair of people to not give him a chance. but I really liked season 6 it just felt a little different from the seasons before and since because well Quinn isn't daniel Jackson. Too bad they couldn't find a way to keep both actors. :(

Especially now that RDA is leaving the show.

I like Jonas quite a bit, but I'll admit that I didn't start watching until season 8 was about to start and have no clue how I would have reacted if I hadn't known that Daniel was coming back.

I do think that the actor was good and that they could have done more with the character.

I agree with your statement that they could have done more with Jonas. Hmm I started watching stargate sometime around season 3 and this was in college so I watched them all out of order. I didn't even see the episode where Daniel died until somewhere in the middle of season 6. Strangely, at the time I didn't really care about the show as much, or I just didn't feel a vested interest in any one character.

but now, I kind of have favorites. i guess at some point SG-1 went from being old people to rather attractive.
