disturbing novel

amalthiaRicardo Pinto - The Chosen was a disturbing novels on many levels. For one the casual slavery and torture, and the way the characters reacted to it, freaked me out. Which I think is quick amazing because for the most part stories like this don't normally bother me, but to top it all off the story was boring!!!! nothing really happened the whole book except more people getting tortured and killed and I think raped. I mean nothing was really graphic but the casual cruelty nonethless bugged me.
anyway, I tried reading the second book and it was even more boring than the first.
Hmm just realized tomorrow is Christmas eve and this is the first year I don't seem to have any time off before christmas, I can see why so many people miss school, it sucks having to work over the holidays.
hmm didn't mean to turn this into a complaint fest,I think I just miss my family and wish more businesses closed a day or two before Christmas so their employees have time to travel and see their families. BTW, who the hell calls for new checks on Christmas EVE??? or christmas Day???
