FINISHED!!!!!
Jan. 5th, 2006 01:14 amHURRAY!!!! I finally finished my Supernatural vid now I just need to compress send to a friend, if he gets online today or tomorrow, so he can check for any errors I may have missed, and then I'll present it to
maygra because I made this vid for her.
I'm just amazed that I'm finally done, I've been working on this vid since before X-Mas..I mean like 3 weeks before X-Mas...or close enough to that time. First I had troubles with Ulead Media Studio Pro 8 (btw, the honeymoon is over!!!! the program is great except for one tiny flaw, but that flaw makes a BIG difference in how long it takes the program to load...so I had to re-upload all the episodes to my Ulead Video Studio 9...) anyway that wasted about one week of my life, but I learned a LOT.
Anyway it wasn't until I got back home that I was really able to sit down and listen to the music and make notes on what scenes to use for the lyrics...My sister said something about my favorite SGA vid that really kind of hurt. (basically the vid was boring and she couldn't see any story or theme or anything of value in it) I know as a "artist" you need to have thick skin but she did have a valid point that vids do kind of need to tell a story. And she did watch lots of anime vids and we both know good when we see it, so I listened. Just not sure if listening helps.
So on this vid I did a lot more thinking than what I'd normally do. Most vids I just sit down listen to the music and start plugging in the clips, then get halfway through and have no clue what I'm doing but don't want to delete clips because some fit the timing perfectly. anyway, I'm not sure if writing notes helped or not, but if the vid sucks it's not because I didn't try. (I mean I tried to make it good)
The moral of this story is I tried my best, I finally FINISHED (the vid only took me over 15 hours to complete, and I haven't even added special effects, and I'm not going to.) So I feel rather accomplished today. Now I just have to hope my friend can beta watch? my vid. Really right now my eyes feel like they are going to fall out of their sockets.
