My no spoiler reaction is that I loved season 2. I loved the characters, plot, and my husband and I were looking forward to each episode.

This season had less violence against women, all the actors knocked it out of the ball park. Basically, if you liked season 1 then I'm sure you'll enjoy season 2. I'm still on the fence as to how season 2 compared to season one. Maybe they are too different to compare?

I have some thoughts about the season that are going under the cut tag.

I liked season one a little more, I think it's because the season built the world, had a good murder mystery, and multiple plots that all tied together. However, season one turned away viewers because of it's violence towards women. Season 2 barely had any sex or nudity but still told a good story. Not sure if people can jump in at season 2 and understand what is happening though...

Season 2 had eight episodes to tell their story so I don't think they could have added any other plots and do them justice. I liked that this season focused on the characters, we got more backstory, and it felt like real people dealing with problems. The world building still worked for me. I'm curious to see what other people think about the season. I loved the new characters introduced, the bounty hunter lady was awesome, I liked her wife and kid too. Though I'm now wondering what happened to the original kid who inhabited the body the bounty hunter's kid took over? There is so much body swapping in this universe...I sometimes wonder about the logistics? Like when people transfer their consciousness to another planet, what happens to their body while they are gone?? Is it rented out to other people, or stored in a warehouse? I suspect the books would answer these questions.

I'm replying while not loking at the cut-text, because I haven't seen this season yet - but I plan to! I enjoyed the first season, although it certainly had a few weaknesses, and less violence against women sounds good, too. :-)

I mostly agree - both seasons are great for some different reasons. I am waffling about reading the books now. They would probably fill in some universe questions, but I can also bet the show diverges from them, so that will just add confusion. Decisions!
