Hate tickets

My husband got a ticket for running a red light (it was actually yellow when we went through) but instead of going through the hassle of contesting the ticket, we decided to pay half of it and he'd do the defensive driving thing. Well we sent in the money and about two weeks later it comes back in the mail saying we didn't pay enough (though we paid the exact amoun it said to pay on the ticket) so today I wrote out a new check, stuffed everything back into a envolope and re-mailed the stuff back in. I did this pretty quick (I mean less than five days after I got the original money back) well today when I checked the mail, my husband got this notice for when he's supposed to appear in court and I'm confused...none of the paperwork said when this was all due, I paid on time (it's not my fault that the ticket didn't say the proper amount to pay) anyway, I just hope my husband is actually here on the day he's supposed to appear in court. Not sure why the system has so much bullshit for paying off a stupid ticket. (that he didn't even deserve)

Am not happy right now.

Well, that's evil.

My mom once got a parking ticket for not paying the toll. She went back to the thingy, and took pictures proving that it was broken so that's why she couldn't pay and they let her off the hook.

sadly, I don't think that's going to work in this case. but kudos for your mom. :)
