Ouch. This hit me in a very close place, and I don't know whether to thank you or hate you (i could never hate you, really). The whole question of when to tell a secret and why is really, really fraught for me, and this story actually made me see it from a slightly different angle.

Aside from my capital-I-issues, this was really nicely done: very evocative without being graphic, and the light touch actually increased the horror.

I'm sorry this isn't very good feedback, but I really did like? enjoy? the story and I am glad that I read it.
