Tonight

I can't wait for tonight. :) SG-1 and SGA air, and then I'm going to stop by Wal-Mart around 11pm and get in line to see if I can get a copy of the new HP book. I went by there earlier today to do some grocery shopping and it hit me on the head. Wal-mart sells books! so I did some asking around at the store and it seems like not all their copies are reserved so I know where I'll be hanging out tonight. I just hope I'm able to get a copy because I'll be back home in Houston and Tom and I still only have one car and I don't know how I'm goign to avoid book spoilers if I don't read the book right away.

Please for anyone on my friend's list USE LJ CUTS or don't write anything about the HP book at all until at least a week or two pass.

I don't want spoilers for this book. For the last six months I've pretty much stopped most of my HP activities to avoid spoilers. Well except I'm still checking to see if In Blood Only is updated...but for the other websites I've suspended my visits to those webpages.

Am I the only that noticed that a lot of the people who like Harry Potter also like Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, and that a lot of HP fans also like stargate??? I swear almost all my friends on LJ like both shows. It's kind of cool. :) It feels like X-Mas today.

Okay still crossing my fingers about getting a copy of the HP book.

cookies

Last night I baked cookies. the Skor's Toffee bit cookies and they taste so good. I'm amazed that they actually came out all right. I've baked cookies before and there have been more than a few disastors. Like me trying to take them off the hot cookie sheet and end up with a ball of cookie that actually tasted all right, it just didn't look like a cookie. Or burnt cookies. These ones are great, they are circles, okay some are stuck together, but they are soft and chewy and taste great. I guess following the directions to the letter really does work. :)

I just need to try and not eat them all at once, it took me over an hour to make these cookies (though it wasn't so bad because i was watching the directory commentary of Firefly, episode Serenity. I am so addicted to this tv series) and I almost burnt my hands a few times, and I know my own kitchen does not have vanilla extract or baking soda....or the amount of cookie sheets my mom owns. Or the spray stuff you use to grease the pans, for anyone who's forgot to use it....you know how important that stuff is if you want your cookie sheet to stay clean. Cleaning off cooked on cookie dough is not easy, same goes for burnt cheese.

Anyway, I'm impressed with my baking skills. :) Okay I'm having a nice day, I can't wait to see Stargate and the Harry Potter book is coming out tonight. :) even if I can't pick up a copy I know in a few days it'll be aviable in every bookstore in america by the end of the week. Did I mention Christmas already???
