Sony Portable Reader
Dec. 14th, 2006 11:58 amOkay now that I've stopped drooling...I figured I better post a link to this nifty device so I can check it out again later...
Sony Reader If anyone has used this or has one and has any advice I'd love to hear from you....
Basically, I've been checking out portable readers because I love reading, I love reading fan fiction, what I don't love is being chained to my computer in order to read fan fiction and sometimes the laptop is just too big to pull out just to read stories. So I've been checking out portable reading devices and so far this is the best one I've seen. it does almost everything I want it to do and the display looks nice. (it does not read html documents)
I think i'm going to have to check this out in person and see exactly how big the device is, it'll be lovely to read fan fiction sitting on the couch or laying on my bed like I'm reading a real book. (sure I could print out some stories...but ink is freaking expensive)
the biggest downside to the nice portable readers is price. :(
EDIT: found another reader iLiad e-reader this one is twice as expensive but it does read html formats...which is kind of important for me because most stories on my computer are saved as html documents. Well at least the website says it's supposed to read html not actually sure how that works in practice.
Ibook (this one says it plays html, found out that the iLiad e-reader plays xhtml...which is slightly different. I'm still doing research.)
