Health question

If you don't want to read about birth control pills skip on to the next LJ post on your f-list.

Basically, I've been taking Ortho-tricyclene for the last 4 years, I'm not sure if it really cleared up my acne or not...I still sometimes broke out before periods but for the most part it wasn't that bad.

Anyway because my insurance only covers generic birth control pills I switched over to TriNessa and well this month I've really broken out in the worst acne I've had in a year. Normally, I get one or two pimples and now it's like 5 or 6 and not the small ones either. :(

Does anyone know if the generics are completely identical to brand name?

I was reading this one site and there were all these horror stories about what happened to people when they switched over to generic pills (and well I'm suspicious that most of the people posting there are sockpuppets). I looked at the drug information at both sites and they look identical.

So I'm figuring either I broke out more this month because of stress from holidays or it's because I switched to a new type of birth control. :(

I haven't had acne this bad in a long time and it just sucks and besides not getting pregnant the main reason I don't want to stop taking bc pills is because it has been helping my acne. Anyway, I guess I just have to give this a few more months and see how it goes. Maybe it's just the weather. :(

Stargate Atlantis recs

Wrapped in a Red Ribbon by sga_santa (Sheppard/McKay, AU) I liked the plot, the character voices, and the sex was hot. Loved the ending too.

Suspended Animation by tzi and zaganthi (Sheppard/McKay) okay this story may not make sense or mean much unless you read the two that come before Do I Know You From a Frat Mixer, or Another Galaxy? and Firing Squad the first was written for the sga_flashfic Bad Sex Challenge and it blew me away, the second is John's pov, and this third is the resolution and I thought it delivered. I loved the confrontation.

Snow Men by mahoni (Gen) I loved this story. Ronon and Sheppard's character voices were spot on, I loved the imagery, and I really felt for the guys in this situation.

Fair by minnow1212 (Sheppard/Mckay) I loved this story. It was sweet, romantic, and I loved the plot. :)

Supernatrual Recs

On Midsummer Nights I Dream of Winchesters by deirdre_c (Sam/Dean) I loved Sam and Dean speaking lines from Shakespeare plays. :) I also really loved the build up to the sex, the imagery, the emotions, and basically the whole story.

Bargains by marinarusalka (Gen) Okay this story made me laugh, worry a bit about how things would work out, and I absolutely loved Dean's voice.

Stargate Atlantis Recs

Sometimes It's Not The Space Battles by familyarchives (Gen) I loved how contemplative this story is and the interaction between Sheppard and Weir.

The Forest People by seperis (Sheppard/McKay, Teyla, Ronon) I loved the imagery and the atmosphere in this story.

You're Pretty Good Looking (For a Girl) by trinityofone (Sheppard/McKay, Genderbending) I loved the character voices, the issues brought up in this story, and basically everything else.

Anomalies by sori1773 (Ronon/Rodney) I really enjoyed how the relationship between these two guys developed. :)

Five Secrets Lorne's Team Doesn't Want Told by miss_porcupine I loved each of these five snapshots of Major Lorne's team.

Talking Dirty by toft_froggy (Sheppard/McKay) Okay this was both funny and hot, hard to beat that combination. :)

Supernatural Recs

You Must be This Tall, Secret Santa, Warning: Beware of Dean, and What's a Guy Gotta Do? by robin_serrano (Gen, Pre-series) I loved each of these stories, one of them made me laugh, another brought me to tears, and I really liked how each story showcased the different ways Dean takes care of Sam.

Sisters of Mercy by maygra (Sam/Dean, False Comforts AU) I love the False Comforts series, it's dark just the way I like it, and has some of the best villians I've read in this fandom, and well this story follows along in that pattern. I liked the plot and even though I'm not sure how the guys quite ended up where they are in this story, I couldn't stop reading because I wanted to find out more and I hurt for the guys because well in this verse life really sucks for them in a lot of ways. Also the sex was really hot.

A very Winchester Christmas by raina_at (Sam/Dean)I loved the imagery, the language, the sex was hot and I just loved Sam and Dean together on x-mas.
