Think I need a new vacumn cleaner

Well I finally got around to vacuming the apartment..and before I reached the bedrooms the motor started smoking. :( I cleaned out all the hair that was clogging it but still no go. Really, we barely used this vacumn can't believe it's already broken.

Next time I'll make sure I spend more than 40 bucks on one of these suckers. This model had issues from day one.

In other news, I had a great time visiting with nev_longbottom and now I'm really tired.

And asking my flist if anyone has good recommendations for vacuum cleaners? Mine just broke this afternoon when I tried to vacuum.

Just realized, I'd already mentioned my broken vacumn earlier...but would still love some recs. Right now I'm torn between the Eureka Pet one and the Bisson? Pet vacuum. If I had the money, I'd by the Dyson...but really 549 dollars!
