What is up with all the advertisements displaying all over our Stargate episodes.

I mean I thought last season reached the heights of obnoxiousness but it looks like they are trying to outdo themselves on who can make the brightest advertisement that will annoy the most viewers.

Come on, most sci-fi fans know about the new shows already. We are a well read bunch of people, who generally speaking do have Internet and are willing to give just about any show with any supernatural/sci-fi/tech/or fantasy elements a go. No need to splash this info on top of our show!

There's a reason I don't watch commercials...if these advertisements get any bigger...soon I'll have no reason to keep watching the shows either!

I'm waiting for the day when the plaster advertisements all over books (like in between paragraphs or something, I bet people will just love that)

Anyway, loved SG-1 and SGA...hated the obnoxious advertisements.

p.s. am so tempted to get the advertisment LJ so I can have more icons. I took out my FMA icon so I can add a Doctor Who icon...still on the lookout for more. :)

Oh, I so *totally* agree with you.

I mean, what the hell?

Let's put aside the absolute panic I went into thinking that my download had been corrupted, and focus on just how much it bites that we can't even watch the tiny wee bit of show they allow us between the adds without spoiling that as well. I mean, one would like to think that the show was good enough to take you away from the real world, to immerse you in another reality, that being so - having those stupid half-page advertisements is not just annoying, it's actually jarring. It bumps you out of your trance and into the real world.

It's uncalled for. I think it must break some sort of rules of advertisement, as well. I mean, something that awful has to be against some advertising standard rule. You'd think.

Umm...I did download, though. So - that's sort of against the rules, so I guess I can't complain *too* loudly. But, really, it still just bites that they can do that, even if I downloaded.
