Does anyone know where I can download logo free copies of Supernatural??? I found some for Stargate Atlantis but don't even know where to start for Supernatural.
I think we have a mutual LJ friend who hosts some eps, but I'm not sure if it's public knowledge. She recently gave me most of the first season on disc (because we live in the same city and hang out sometimes) but I think she hosts at least the newest ones on her server.
I think she friendlocks the posts, so I'm not sure if I should mention it publicly, but you can email me at derry667@hotmail.com
hey, I appreciate the effort. :) really, normally by now with the DVDs out...logo free episodes should be somewhere on the web...right now i'm getting season 2 BSG without the logos so I'm going to wait until those are done before I look again.
the funny part is I keep waiting to vid...the reality is I should probably vid even with the logos and get something done otherwise I'm always going to be waiting.

LOL! Boy, do I hear what you're saying on that one. I was waiting for the logofree versions of SGA for some vidding ideas that I had. But I've found that when I get the footage, don't seem to have time to vid.
I only just started watching Supernatural this weekend (thanks to a friends generosity). I know, I know! People have been telling me that I should watch it for ages! And yeah, I'm hooked, just like they said I would be.
And yesterday this whacked out idea for a NUMB3RS-SPN crossover vid hit me... Oh dear.
No. Actually, I've only ever seen one SPN vid - I think the song was called "Angel" or something like that. And I've never actually seen the Goonies movie so I might not get that aspect of it.
And I adore NUMB3RS although I only discovered it recently myself. In a funny way, it finally pushed me into watching Supernatural. Both were shows that I'd been meaning to seriously check out for a while - but, as usual, never seemed to find the time. Then I watched and fell in love with NUMB3RS - and more specifically with protective-big-brother-who-just-might-feel-in-the-shadow-of-his-"special"-sibling Don Eppes. I was rabbiting on about this in my LJ and several people said "dude, you have to check out Dean Winchester then!". And they were so right. I totally adore Dean - and for many of the same reasons I adore Don.
And I have to admit that I love sibling relationships. Gen-centric gal that I am, I tend to view John & Rodney having a quasi-sibling rivalry type of relationship. ;-)
I must admit that I haven't been watching it completely in sequence. Watched the pilot and a few epsiodes that I liked the look of (after checking out the summaries at IMDB). And I couldn't resisit watching the season finale and the epsidoe leading up to it. And then I just had to see the new season premiere - and OMG!!! I don't think it's possibly for me to love that ep more than I do!
So I'll be catching up "properly" over the next few weeks. But feel free to tell me stuff, coz I won't be too fussed about being "spoiled". I've already read some fics that had me running back to find the episode they referred to! LOL!
I already went through my phase of downloading every SPN icon I could find. :)
If you like brother relationships in TV you might really enjoy Full Metal Alchemist. it's anime...and one of the brothers is stuck in a metal armor...but the emotions are there and it's a really good show.
I also love sibling relationships on TV (in a gen way). :) I'm certainly going to need to watch Numbers 3.
It's funny how quickly I liked Dean but with Sam...it took a few episodes for me to warm up to him and now I just can't imagine anyone else in those roles and I love that there is emotion in this show.
I've heard the name "Full Metal Alchemist" before, but I haven't really watched much anime since I was a teenager. Some of my brothers and sisters are still quite into anime though - which probably where I heard of it.
And thanks for the vid recs. Some of the links seem to be expired, but ones I managed to download, including "Invincible", are really cool indeed.
I loved Dean pretty much instantly too. Sam I like, but I don't yet appreciate him to the same degree - but I'm sure I'll get there. It was a bit the same with Don and Charlie Eppes on NUMB3RS actually. And in both cases, I think it's when both younger brothers start to break out of their own little "bubble" and start seeing how much has been done to protect them, that I start really liking them (Charlie has some great "wake-up calls" in season 2 of NUMB3RS).
I really hate that people are using so many temporary download servers for their vids. It makes it really hard to recommend vids and share them with other people.
if you'd like I can upload the ones I mentioned to YSI and send them to your email...so you can download and watch?
Yeah, the temporary sites can be a hassle if you wanna rec longterm favourites. I'm really lucky that Illman has always been so very very generous in hosting my SGA vids (and a lot of other people's too). If I start branching out into other fandoms, I probably should find another place to host the vids. But I'm also lucky that few other friends of mine also host stuff (episodes and vids and all sorts of stuff, some of them).
Anyways... I am really tempted by your offer to upload some to YSI, especially since one of the ones that I couldn't get was "Until I Wake Up" which you said was a personal favorite of yours. The other two that I couldn't seem to get a hold of were "Ghostbusters" and "Dream On".
So yes PLEASE! If you wouldn't mind. I would really love to see "Until I Wake Up" in particular!
This video was made back when there were only 10 episodes to work with...so please keep that in mind. I watched it again and I don't want to get your hopes up...technically it's not perfect but for me it captured this mood..and it just worked.
