I felt the same way watching!!!! I was omg! the poor bear! But the commenter did say the bear is all right...so hopefully he/she is.

to be honest I laughed while saying that's WRONG at the same time. It was funny but not very nice of the police...though I guess the alternative was to just shoot the bear and not having anything to catch it...though it looked like it bounced rather high. I want to pet the bear now.
