Last week went great, this week I've been sick. It's not a pleasent experience but I think I'll be better soon, and then I can work again. :) There is no way I'm going to try substituting with a bad cough and sore throat. I could barely talk today as it was.

The living room TV broke last week and this week we finally got the new one. I'm not sure if a 65 inch screen is really necessary to enjoy Angel, Smallville, Stargate SG-1, and my other favorite shows...in fact it seems like my mom is never going to leave the living room again, she really loves this tv.

I sort of wish they'd given me the money they spent on the TV instead so I could pay off my credit card bills more quickly, but I think some things just aren't going to happen. :)

I've also been working on Law School applications and searching for different schools outside the state of Texas. I don't really care about the quality of the school as much as I care about the location. I think the University of Hawaii has to be one of the better schools to go to, I've never been there before and I'd love to see the place, though I guess it may be even more expensive to go to school there than lets say Wyoming.

I've also given consideration to a law school in southern California. If nothing else I'll be closer to all the conventions I really want to go to, but I also hear the weather is nice and the beaches aren't too far away. I guess the thought of going to school in Texas just doesn't appeal to me. However, moving cross country for a change of scenery is a bit excessive. In any case I'll most likely go to the first school that accepts me and takes the least amount of work to get into. I know it's a fool's hope, all of them require some effort. :(

On a brighter note, my mom is just now reading the Harry Potter books. I thought it was cool at first thinking wow my mom and me can finally talk about one of my favorite sets of books of all time...but she's really not that interested in actually discussion on the books. I think she just reads because she's bored and doesn't really put much thought into the characters or the plot or any of the other stuff I find fascinating about books.

I thought about trying to start up a book club in my area, just so I could talk to people about books but so far haven't really put much effort in finding out if one already exists. I'll look into later when I'm not coughing my lungs out.
