Escapade Convention

I got a plane ticket, reserved a hotel room (with two beds in case I can find someone willing to split room cost with me), I actually signed up ahead of time for the convention itself. :) Now it looks like I just need to figure out how to get from LAX to the hotel and request two days off of work in Feburary.

Anyone here ever used the Road Runner Shuttle services? At the moment this looks like my best bet for traveling.

I figured when it hits Feburary I'll probably post again to find out if anyone wants to meet up at the convention and hang out.

I did, a couple of years ago when I flew into LAX. The bus doesn't really seem to have a schedule, it's kind of ring them from the airport and tell them you've arrived. They're nice people, the minibus was fine, but it took for *ever* to do the trip. About three or four hours, as I recall. They dropped off everyone else first. That said, I'll probably be using it again this year -- cheap, convenient, and much safer than me driving on the wrong side of the road after a ten hour flight *g*

I'm coming in Thursday afternoon which means I'll probably hit rush hour traffic, I feel safer taking a shuttle than renting a car. :) I'll make sure to bring extra books in case the drive really is 3 hours. What about your return trip to the airport??? I guess there is no rush to reach the hotel...but making it back to the airport is a different thing.

I told them when my flight was, they told me what time they'd pick me up. 10 am flight? 5.15 am pickup. (For a domestic, not international flight, as I went to a conference right after going to Escapade).
