Another story Recommendation. :)
Apr. 3rd, 2004 12:27 amokay this author has been around awhile but for about a year I could not find her website and in my opinion she doesn't write enough because I just can't get enough of her stories. :) She wrote one of my favorite Sentinel fan fics and she branched off into Harry Potter with one wonderful story and disappeared afterwards...
Anyway, thanks to spare change, i found her new site. :)
and the two stories I want to recommend for sure are A Quaint Notion and Close Enough
http://www.helenish.net/stories.html
They are on her website and easy to find in the Harry Potter section. :)
She also wrote a rather good Sentinel fan fic called
Not Exactly Funny
What I love about Helen's writing is that her men really sound like men. They are clueless, not very sensitive and her sex scenes are hot. I've re-read A Quaint Notion about 4 or 5 time and I still love it.

Date: 2004-04-02 11:02 pm (UTC)I really really really dislike this woman and her stories. HAHAHA! I don't like her characterizations, or her disregard of canon, and I don't think that she is a nice person. Exsugo, for example.
Not a class act.
I'm glad you enjoyed them, though. I guess. ;)

Date: 2004-04-03 12:55 am (UTC)But I like her writing style and I try not to judge stories based on the author's actions. (though I'm sure if I were involved in whatever happened I may have a differnet opinion)
Her HP stories are better written than the average HP story There aren't many authors who can make me sit through a Ron/Harry fic...but she pulled it off.
In any case, I'm still glad I found the website. It's just a shame the recommendation didn't help lead you to stories you'd enjoy reading. :(

Date: 2004-04-03 09:24 am (UTC)Anyway, no worries about the rec: I already read Helen's stories a couple of months ago. I just don't like the way she writes the HP characters. She isn't very attentive to canon, and that's a main criterion for me.

Date: 2004-04-03 01:57 pm (UTC)It did seem rather elaborate just for a prank. I guess some people really have more time on their hands than others. anyway I think they realized what they did made quite a few people unhappy and probably won't do it again.
