Dark Angel

Okay finished watching the rest of season 2 Dark Angel. Honestly, after watching season 1 if someone had asked me whether I cared or not if this show got canceled I would have been in the "not cared" category.

But season two was really interesting and I loved the characters introduced and it had heart...um yeah it was like a different show. So yeah now I'm a bit disappointed we'll never find out where the writers intended to go for season 3 but at the same time it didn't end on a bad note. Not like the ending of season 4 Farscape...now that sucked!

It was a real treat to see Jensen Ackles in Dark Angel, I didn't realize how big of a role he'd have in this show and was pleasantly surprised.

there are pro tie in books that tied up the story line. Check with your library, if they don't have them, and I'm sure they don't, see if they can get them through interlibrary loan. You REALLY don't want to pay for them. Trust me on that.

LOL, I haven't read the books but I'm pretty sure the fan girls can come up with better so I'm not gonna bother... I'm hoping that with all the Jensen love that's floating around that this fandom's gonna pick up. Honestly, I went back and watched season 2 a few months ago and liked it much better the second time around. Will definitely check out denyce's archive rec's but frankly Amothea, I'm very appreciative of your rec's 'cause so far I haven't found much that's grabbing me (though denyce's fic is proving to be quite entertaining! ;)

I think I watched season 2 just to see more of Jensen and he was really hot in Dark Angel too. I'm also looking for good Dark Angel fan fiction but not sure if it's out there. I found a few stories that were okay but nothing on the level with some of the best fics in SGA or SPN.

If you haven't read it yet, Minkmix's Heat was awesome and even had issues of consent. She's promised a sequel but I haven't scene it yet. You want me to e-mail the file to you?

I've read Heat, and part 1 of the sequel is called Traces...her lj doesn't really make it easy to find her fics...I think I recommended heat a few days ago but now I can't remember. :)

I'm looking for more fics like that and I don't mind the questionable consent stories. :)

I know you don't mind the questionable consent stories (it's one of the things I love about you ;) - that's why I mentioned it... I just looked through my read file and there were a couple other pieces that I don't remember well, but I marked as really liking (though not quite as much as Heat):

DA S2 was a lot better than S1 for me, too, though S1 was still very good. The added bonus of Jensen doesn't hurt ;) Like I said before, 'Hello, Goodbye' made me bawl my eyes out. <3 those Manticore freaks.

which episode was Hello, Goodbye?? The one that almost made me cry was the one with Joshua and the girl getting murdered. I also liked the one that did the backstory for Alec where he played the piano. (btw that was really hot too)

Hello, Goodbye was the ep where Joshua first befriends Annie the blind girl, and Max is freaked out the whole time that she and Logan touched, and then the Anomaly that White captured he ended up setting "free", only for the poor guy to be shot down by cops. And then Annie wanted to touch Joshua's face and Alec was there so he pretended to be Joshua so Annie wouldn't get freaked out and it all was just...SO SAD. Everybody was going through something sad in that ep. There were like, three different sad character arcs. *sniffle* Just thinking about it. I don't why, I just lost it watching that ep.

that episode was sad and I liked that Alec wasn't an asshole and he was just trying to help Joshua. okay actually a lot of season 2 had sad stuff happening.

I think my favorite episode was probably the one with the girl that could make people do what she wanted them to do and Max challenged Alec to the fight at the end. I loved that. Of course it didn't hurt that Jensen was wearing nothing but boxer shorts. :)

I thought Season Two was much more charming, even though Season One had better mytharc.

There are some episodes that are just SO BAD, though. In both seasons. And I just really dislike Jessica Alba, though I find Max interesting.

I've already found a few fics that I've enjoyed in this fandom. :) and i'm keeping my eyes open for more.

Jessica Alba is not a good actress, but I do like the concept of Max's character it's just some of the stuff fell flat when Alba had to carry the scene.
