Can you Build a life from 25$?
Well apparently some guy did but to me it's kind of a BS project because well first the guy is already educated and smart (which is a big advantage over their not so smart counterparts. Truly Forest Gump was a movie not a true story), secondly he's a guy (which automatically means even without any Qualifications he has a 80% chance of getting a paying job over minimum wage, for those that are men on my list off shore work pays about 60-80k a year and I don't even think you need a HS diploma to qualify. Women are high discouraged from these jobs because they can't guarentee a woman's safety since they regularly hire ex-felons to work off shore. Men are also paid more for construction, and movers as an example), and third has no other responsiblities besides taking care of himself. (Truly how many high school drop outs do you know that already have 2 or 3 kids they hvae to pay child support for???) Well I know at least 4 cousins of mine that had children while in high school. I'm sure many people with all these three factors in their favor could do well for themselves.
I guess what truly pisses me off is they made this article seem like a big deal. It's kind of like a slap in the face of all the other American's who don't have a college education, and have children to support, and are struggling to get by. It's like saying maybe they just aren't good enough because look some guy made it just fine with 25 bucks and starting from scratch. So why can't they???
I truly think for the not so smart citizens in our country they are at a big disadvantage towards reaching the "American Dream."
Okay basically I guess it all comes down to the fact that I don't believe in the American Dream. Sure maybe some people can reach it but the reality remains that vast majority of citizens in the US are uninsured, struggling to get by, and are out of their depth when it comes to managing their own money. Either due to sheer stupidness, college loans, health bills, and a failing economy. Basically, I'm seeing too many of my friends working two jobs, roommating with like 2 other people just to afford rent, and it just irks me that people have to work 60 hours a week to make the bills. And some guy comes along saying it's possible if you work hard enough and save your money??? WTF ever.
