amalthiaokay so I found a replacement 65W AC Adapter (PA-12) for my laptop. (http://www.priorityelectronics.com/dell/310-2862-1.htm) And naturally not 1 hour after I hit the order button I find another one for half the price! (but it didn't have the fedex shipping options to be fair) But still I suck at this.
I figured 30 seemed reasonable, considering at Best Buy they wanted 104 and Dell wanted 65 dollars. So I'm still paying less than those prices even with the horrible shipping fees.
I feel like crying today but I'm blaming the sleep deprivation and neck pain on that. Basically, not sure why I didn't boot my cat out of the house as soon as I saw what she'd done because I'm stressing out about this way too much. (maybe hormones...)
so assuming I get my power adapter in tomorrow (not leaving the house until Fedex arrives.) I'm never leaving my power cord where I can't see it at all times and I will have a spray bottle ready to go as soon as they get near it. (also will take laptop to guest room and leave it there when I"m not home to monitor.) What really bugs me isn't really me blaming the cat though it's totally Grey's fault. it's that I was right there working on my vid and she was behind the coffee table nibbling on the cable and I knew she was back there but I thought she was playing with one of her actual toys. So in a way this is my fault for not being more deligent. And here I was going to go this weekend to buy them a cat tree so they'd have something interesting to play on and now instead I had to spend way too much to replace my power adapater for laptop before Escapade next week.

also I get the feeling my husband is not going to be happy with this at all. I was tempted to say I broke it but really not sure he'll buy that I got bored/crazy and started chewing the cable...
