Saturday and Sunday

amalthiaSaturday was great. Browncoat shindig lunch and then later that evening I met some slash writers that actually live in Houston! I swear my voice hurt a bit by the end of the evening because I talked way too much. I'm really looking forward to hanging out again. Mostly we shared a lot of story recs for SPN, SGA, and some of the older fandoms like the Sentinel, X-Files, Pros, and some odds and ends. I'm going to need more time to actually find all the authors and corresponding stories on the list I wrote down. :)
I always forget how fun it is to meet fellow slash fans and just be able to talk seriously about how hot some stories are. :)
Sunday, got up a bit late did grocery shopping, exercised, did the laundry (mine to be specific), and worked on my music video until it was time to meet my husband for dinner at a the Texas Roadhouse (which is one of our favorite steak houses). However by then I kind of had a headache and i'm still feeling meh. Which is why I decided to not mess with my music vid for the rest of the night. Right now I looked at it again and I was postitive all of it was crap. :( earlier this afternoon I thought it was pretty good, so I figured I should give it another day and keep moving forward. Because I hear you can revise forever if you're not careful.
I'm hoping to have an honest to goodness real rough draft by the end of the week. I'm halfway done already. And I'll probably post a request for anyone willing to look at the vid and give me comments and advice on how I can improve it or if they see any glitches or timing errors. But I wanted to wait for that until I actually got something to send off to the person.
Basically, not sure what to do with the rest of my night and that's weird.

ficwriter1966's LJ. I think the main reason I had to unfriend this time is because she keeps bringing up this topic in her LJ, and I'm getting the impression I'm the kind of person she really feels grossed out by and it sucks because I really do enjoy her gen stories. (though she is one of the authors htat keeps using the rich text editor when she posts so I can't actually read any of her fics on IE7) Basically, this is one of those times I kind of wish I didn't get to know an author I thought I really liked because now I'm not sure I can really enjoy her stories anymore knowing what she really thinks.
