amalthiaWell it's new to me. Instead of buying a new laptop my husband and I decided to swap laptops and just buy more memory for his, since he rarely uses his laptop. So after a busy day of shopping for camping gear, and groceries, I spent the rest of the time installing everything I use on the new laptop. I'm on the last program now which is World of Warcraft, 6 cds! Yikes.
So basically I've had a fun day, though I feel like a horrible cat mom because I didn't really get the chance to play with the kitties beyond using the laser pointer. Are you supposed to actively play with them? or does petting and holding count? Also, husband pointed out a bit of what I'm doing wrong with the litter box and why it's starting to smell awful, so tomorrow we're going to try his way and hopefully that'll go better. (this is my first time having cats and honestly trying to find best ways to keep litter from smell god awful isn't as easy as you'd think)
In other news, I've been doing a lot of reading these past few days about the Amazon Kindle and other e book readers. Mostly the whole amazon.com thing makes me want to cry. 90k books for sale but you got to buy their shitty book reader to get to any of them. Really, I wished they'd stuck to what they do best which is sale books! I'm totally willing to buy an ebook that doesn't have OCR errors and formatting issues. But this whole DRM thing is driving me nuts and furious.
Also forgot to mention this last night but did anyone else see the Golden Compass in a mostly empty theater? I really expected this movie to be sold out and a bunch of kids there but it was mostly grownups and a lot of empty seats and we weren't even going that late. We saw the 10pm showing.
