Hi,

I'm trying to figure out what code to use to link to a livejournal community from dreamwidth.

I've gone to this page http://wiki.dwscoalition.org/notes/Help:Contents#LJ_Links however when I tried what they said < ljcomm > (minus the spaces) and nothing happened.

Did the code change at some point? Or am I doing it wrong?

I'd appreciate any help with this.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure *user name=commname site=livejournal.com* should worjk (in angle brackets)

Here goes: [livejournal.com profile] cooking

You don't get the nice little community symbol though.

The somewhat-mistitled FAQ How do I make a link to another Dreamwidth account? agrees with [personal profile] sqbr.

If you want to force the LJ community icon rather than the LJ userhead icon, figure out the URL of the community icon (right-click on it, or something, I suppose, and investigate) and substitute it into the raw code that is generated by the < user > tag:
<span style="white-space: nowrap;"><a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/USERNAME/profile"><img src="http://s.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif" alt="[info - livejournal.com] " style="vertical-align: bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;" /></a><a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/USERNAME/"><b>USERNAME</b></a></span>
