Observations by anon-j-anon (Kirk/Spock Uhura/Scotty) INSTANT REC!!! To say this story is a novel is an understatement. At about 400k words this story is epic. I loved seeing the story unfold from Spock's pov and how his and Kirk's relationship develops. I also loved that the author did not ignore the other characters on the ship. Everyone had their story and there were many ups and downs along the way. Not All Those Who Wander (Star Trek XI, Spock Prime) by parrotfic (Gen) This was so funny and awesome. I loved seeing Kirk's letter mixed in with SpockPrimes wanderings. :)

And Cried Out His Name In Joy by pervyficgirl (Kirk/SpockPrime) I loved the concept of accidental bonding pon farr and the author's character voices felt spot on.

Call me Jim by 13empress (Kirk/Spock) I loved Kirk as a woman, she was so funny and still Kirk. Spock's pov was awesome.

Take Refuge in What You Know by corpus_invictus INSTANT REC!!! I loved the character voices, the plot, and I also loved that the story did not take the easy way out. I couldn't stop reading once I started.

I'd Gladly Lose Me To Find You by flawedamythyst (Sam/Dean) I loved Sam's character voice and this was a sweet romance.

In other news, I'm reading a lot more Star Trek now than Supernatural but I still intend to read many of the SPN Big Bang fics when I'm on vacation in August. (or at least that's the plan)

I also changed my Delicious tag system to make it easier for people to find recs using various categories. As a result of this change many of the links in the older rec posts won't work.

I also still need to find some Star Trek icons...

Take Refuge in What You Know totally surprised me with how good it was. I still haven't read Observations yet, but it's on my list, waiting. I admit that the length is giving me pause because I'm watching shows right now, and my time is limited.

I hear you on the icons. I have vague plans for making some this summer.

I was also surprised by how good Take Refuge In What You Know. I got tears in my eyes more than once, I was not expecting to cry when I started this story it sounded like it would be lighthearted fun and then Spock stole my heart. I also truly loved that Jim didn't bail when the going got tough.

I hear on you the length of Observations it took me about a week to finish. I think it wouldn't hurt to wait for the revised version especially if you're marathon watching a tv show. :)

Oh, I've been wanting to read Observations. Did you ever wind up getting a single file version of it?

I did! and I planned on making another single file version once the edited version is completely posted. (it may not hurt to wait the author is updating kind of quickly now)
