Made it to Texas

amalthiaI'm not sure I ever want to fly out at 1am again, and certainly not on Delta! (most uncomfortable seats in existence) Got maybe 3 hours of sleep in an 24 hour period but my husband and I made it to Texas without any delays and I'm now at my parents.
Today we are going to the lake and hopefully I'll get the chance to go water skiing or ride on the jet skii's my uncles own. Yesterday I spent about 2 hours in the pool wtih my parents hanging out and catching up (we had bar-b-q for dinner) Luckily they had a this umbrella stand that provided some shade. I'm already a little pink. Had not realized how white you can get from living two years in Alaska. Husband is already a bit sunburned. So we do need lots of sun block for day at the lake.
I'm still a bit jet lagged because parents woke us up at 6am (Alaska time) to ask if we wanted to go to the lake. We were like "go away we're sleeping!" :)
Okay time to eat breakfast/lunch...this post was mostly just to say we made it and plan on doing stuff this week since my dad took vacation for these days and my mom still has one week before school starts.
