Last Day of Vacation - Traveling Home
Aug. 21st, 2010 04:10 pmI'm currently writing this at the Salt Lake City airport (thank you free wi-fi!). Only have 3 more hours to wait and it's been a long day already. (Mostly barking dogs in the morning and then driving out early to the Austin airport.)
Yesterday was a lot more fun because we went to Schlitterbahn again and spent most of the day there. My uncle who is a co-owner of a company was having their company party at the waterpark so we were able to get discounted tickets for the event. One thing is for sure I don't think my company is ever going to have a company party at a water park! I think there is one in Alaska (I hear there are indoor slides).
So I got to see a lot more family and re-charged on plenty of sunlight aka Vitamin D which I really needed according to my doctor. It's going to be hard re-adjusting to going to work again. For some reason the last two days of vacation are hard to get through because I begin to feel a little depressed that it's almost over.
I'm staying positive by thinking of my cats. I'm a bit worried that they'll be pissed off at us for leaving them alone for two weeks, or lonely and missing us, or they didn't even notice we were gone and had forgotten us already. My husband's co-worker did say they are doing fine and she brushed Tiger when she stopped by to make sure they had food and water and to change out the litter. So they have had human company of sorts but I'm rather sure it's not the same.
All in all this was a good vacation. I got to visit my grandparents twice, see my brother and sister-in-law and niece. Spent some time with my dad and mom and pretty much took it easy and got some time outside. I even had some time to spend online and read.
