feeling kind of guilty

I'm pet sitting for my mom and I really want a good nights rest. so I put the pup outside in the backyard on a 12 foot long chain leash...he has plenty of water and it's night so he shouldn't get dehydrated if he manages to tangle himself up or spill all his water. I guess I just feel bad because mom spent money to get him groomed, however I haven't slept more than 3 hours in a row in 48 hours because the pup whines while I'm trying to sleep. I've taken him outside, fed him his daily recommended amount of food...I don't know why he keeps whining but I have to sleep and I need more than 3 hours at a time.

Well I figured if dogs in the wild can survive I'm sure Pepper will too. If anyone reading this has any advice, I desperately need some.

Do you have a shirt, slip anything of your mum's that has her "smell" on it ? If you do try putting it in bed w/the puppy. An other thing to try is to let the puppy sleep w/you. Good luck :)

Well not really, I think he just had way too much energy and didn't want me to go to bed just yet. My brother is the one who normally takes care of the pets and he does'nt go to bed until 4am most nights. Me I'm reading to sleep at 11pm. I think the pup is trying to adjust to my schedule and is not having an easy time of it. grrrr

Try having the TV on for him to watch, put a little bed in front of it for him.
