Farscape Realization

for the last two days or so I've been downloading farscape music videos and I came to this realization, one that hadn't occured to me when I was watching the series when it aired weekly. Has anyone else noticed how often the characters cry in this show? I mean if you only watch the music vids Farscape comes off as a very angsty sobfest. I mean Aryen is crying, John is crying, I think China and D'Argo cry a few times. Zhann I think breaks down in tears. Now I know Rigel is a puppet but I think I saw him almost cry in Crackers Don't Matter.

Now this isn't such a bad realization because I remember the moments when the characters broke down, well most of them, it's been a while since I've seen Farscape. I remember crying when I watched Farscape, more than once. Especially when John cried. For some reason seeing a grown man break out in tears is especially affecting. Another reason Farscape is one of the best TV shows of all time. They weren't afraid to let the characters suffer and show their pain, nor were they afraid to show them at their goofiest (is that even a word?) and happiest.

It's one of the reasons Need from SG-1 is one of my all time favorite episodes. I mean Daniel really broke down and I loved that because the first time I saw that episode I felt his pain.

But anyway I really need to rewatch Farscape from the beginning. I'm watching the videos and I can't remember what happens in what order anymore and I think I want to make Farscape music videos now. Not sure if I have the room on my harddrive for music vidding fandoms.

There is a lot of emotional stuff in the show. I think the person who cries the most is Aeryn as strange as it may seem.

well watching the show as it aired, all the emotional low points made sense and I didn't think any of the characters were acting out of character when they cried. I mean really there was some very intense stuff happening. I miss Farscape!!!! and I know SG-1 will never make Ben Browder reach his full potential as an actor.

I really miss the character John Crichton. And I agree with you Aeryn did cry the most and it's odd considering her background but maybe not so odd, because for the first time she was free to express her emotions and she feels deeply.
