LJ comments weird

Am I the only one having issues with LJ comments lately? I can't see comments for non-screened posts and I see row after row of various ways to log into LJ. I've turned off ?style=mine and the issues persists.

EDIT: Mystery solved. I have Noscript add-on with Firefox and apparently I needed to add livejournal.net.

Noscript is a good add-on but sometimes it's highly annoying. Though to be fair I think I'm more annoyed at all the ads people place on their websites.

Had to laugh when I saw this as I ran into a similar problem today for the same reason.

I am giving thought to uninstalling Noscript. I tried to use Netvibes and instead of seeing the icons I see Uppercase letters in their place. It's weird. I'm also not sure which of the adware urls that Noscript is blocking will display the icons properly. (if that's even the real problem?)

There are definitely times that I can't be bothered to test out the potentially 15-20 blocked scripts on a page to figure out which one will let me see what I want (which is most often comment sections on websites). In those cases I generally do a temporary permissions and then revoke them when I leave the site. But for one like LJ where you might be there all the time, that would be a trying thing to have to do.

I've been adding the temporary permissions for a while now. It's just alarming how many ads are on websites nowadays.
